It has been so long since I posted a picture, and I don't want to blame it on being busy....but I've been busy! I am finally keeping up with blogging on our other blog The McGreeveys, and I have decided to begin posting pictures on that site from now on. So please come and visit us!
Here is the most recent picture I took of downtown Birmingham just before a storm.

Flowers and a Walk in the Park
Well, now that it's hotter than summer in Knoxville, I decided it was finally time to post some pictures I took several weeks ago while Michael and I went to the park. Of course they are of flowers! They are all straight out of my camera with no editing. Personally, I prefer a little editing because I'm not that great of a photographer, but I thought it would be fun and different to skip the editing and go straight to posting.

Puppy Love
This weekend, Scarlett's boyfriend Bogart came to visit us for a few nights while his mommy Elizabeth took a trip to San Francisco. These two have been good pals for about a year now, and when they do decide to play rather than sit on our laps, they are a very funny pair. Here are some pictures I took of them on Saturday playing outside.
Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Bogart!
Of course you all know Miss Scarlett
They finally start playing...
Bogart is always a gentleman. He let's Scarlett win!
They are pooped puppies!
More of Bogart! He's so good in front of the camera!
Smushy Face!!!

Our Country Girl!
Scarlett got to go with me on my trip to Arkansas a few weeks ago. I think she had more fun than I did. She absolutely loves the country! She was born on a farm, and I remember picking her up the day we got her, and seeing her follow around the other animals on the land. She was in heaven at 9 weeks old!
When we arrived at my aunt and uncle's, Scarlett immediately made herself at home, rolling through the dead grass, chasing cats from the front porch, hunting the sweet smell of deer that get fed each day on the land, and making new discoveries in and around the barn. The last pictures show her going crazy over her most coveted find, an old bone discarded by Sadie, my aunt and uncle's dog that gets to live out in the country all the time. Scarlett is secretly jealous of Sadie!
Scarlett had such a great time, and I know she didn't want to leave. At least I know if my mom ever has to babysit, Scarlett will have a ball. Here are some pictures I took of our little country girl!

RUST
Last week, I took a trip to Arkansas and stayed at my aunt and uncle's house in the country. They live on ten acres outside Jacksonville, complete with a beautiful wrap-around porch, a pond, a barn, and many many deer. It was a great opportunity to take pictures of some fun objects around the property, especially because Michael and I live in a townhome that lacks a yard or any character. One afternoon, I went outside to see what I could find, and I caught myself taking pictures of rusty objects in the barn. Yes RUST! Maybe it's because I don't see rusty nails or tools or even rusty chicken wire hiding in my 12x12 paved "backyard," but I found myself seeing beauty in some of these old, inanimate objects found in the country. I had a lot of fun taking these pictures because I usually enjoy taking pictures of flowers. Here are some of my picture capturing a much looked over element I learned to love one afternoon - RUST!
